Bucket Lists & The Craziest Thing I’ve Ever Done

bucketlistsandthecraziestthingiveverdone

I think everyone has a bucket list, even if only a mental one.  I can’t even begin to count the amount of times I’ve uttered the phrase “that’s on my bucket list” or “I’m adding that to my bucket list”.

I decided to actually make a bucket list a few years ago since I love lists and remembering things I want or wanted at some point. Now, this bucket list has been re-opened and altered many times but since college has begun I’ve crossed some of these things off.

Now, the things on my bucket list range from extremely mundane to reasonably possible to just a bit strange. I’m going to omit some things on my bucket list (not everything is meant to be shared on the internet) but I’m going to share something a little wild.

This year, September 25? 2014 I got to meet one of my favorite bands—All Time Low. Now, I did not only get to meet them but also I got a picture with them.

And, I decided to use them to help me check something off of my bucket list, “Have my boobs autographed by a celebrity”. Okay, before you start thinking, I’m not that girl. I’m a straight A student with the occasional B+, I don’t go out and go crazy or anything like that.

Hence, this was the craziest thing I’ve ever done.

So, when I was about to get my picture taken with All Time Low (Jack, Alex, Rian and Zack) I decided (after a good friend of mine told the guys something about it beforehand when she got her photo taken before me) to finally build up the courage to ask.

“Hi,” I said, looking up at them. (I had wedges on but they were freaking tall and I am still freaking short.)

“Hi!” Alex Gaskarth said.

“Hi,” I said again (I sure do have a way with words).

“Hi.”

“Holy S***,” I said, sounding as eloquent and educated as Shakespeare. “I’m probably not supposed to do this but it’s on my bucket list and I was wondering if you guys could si-“

Jack started signing before I could even finish. Then, Alex signed the other. I died inside.  I took my photo then hugged Jack and Alex (my favorites, of course).

Then, I quickly threw on a more covering T-shirt. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so wild and exhilarated. It was exciting and I felt almost like I could do anything. Plus, we were able to see All Time Low perform and they were amazing.

So, maybe it could be seen as “trashy”, but I’m still young and if you think this is trashy then you ought to be on a college campus on Friday nights. People have done worse things than be autographed by their favorite musicians.

Anyways, that’s the craziest thing I’ve ever done and I hope this encourages some checking-off-of-bucket-lists. Check some things off (as long as they’re not acts of arson or murder or anything like that). It feels exhilarating.

I thought I’d share some things on my bucket list to end this post:
