My Zumba Experience: What Zumba Taught fiMe

Okay, so, my college offers free Zumba classes. FREE. I’ve also been trying to be more active and thus I dragged my friend to Zumba with me and let me tell you Zumba kicked my ass. It also made me realize many things about myself. It also made me realize that I totally suck.

My 5 Goals for Spring

Do people actually ever accomplish seasonal goals? Let’s find out.

1.Actually do some of the things on my Pinterest “To-Do” Board.

I’m addicted to Pinterest and frankly, I’m an ambitious pinner. There are hundreds of recipes I will never make and canvases I will never paint and also wedding inspirations that, by the time I get married, will be long forgotten (probably). Can I at least get myself to make one damn thing out of my thousands of pins? Let’s find out.

2.Go on a bike ride.

The last bike ride I remember involved me getting scared by a bee, falling, deeply cutting my arm and ripping my favorite jeans. It also involved a creepy man offering to “invite me inside so I can get cleaned up” which resulted in me fearfully wheeling my sort of broken bike home while I bled out. I also nearly blacked out from dehydration. Good times. Hopefully I can put that behind me and find the endurance and strength to ride my bicycle around the park for more than ten minutes.

3. Wear lots of dresses.

I just bought four new dresses. When things are on sale, I can’t help myself. A $55 dress on sale for $13? How was I supposed to pass that up? The thing about dresses are they are so effortless and easy and just adorable. I better actually wear these dresses. I think I will…as long as the damned Poughkeepsie weather decides to actually go above thirty degrees.

4. Keep my straight A’s

Spring means finals are slowly creeping up. Thus far I have maintained a straight A average in my freshman year of college and I must keep up the beauty of an A and A- report card. Maybe I can even scratch off some of those minuses…then again, I’m in Psych. Probably not.

5. Get back into my gym routine.

There was a time where my friend and I went to the gym 6 days a week. We felt great and extremely fit. Then she got sick. Then I got sick. Then we recovered. Then we had spring break…We lost the routine and hopefully we can get it back in time for *dun dun dunnn* swimsuit season.

I think that’s about it for spring…I mustn’t be too ambitious. What are your goals for spring?

Marina & The Diamonds & Changes

Marina & The Diamonds (namely, Marina Diamandis Lambrini) is absolutely one of my favorite musicians. I must admit that my initial intrigue was due to the countless pictures of her on Tumblr. The heart on her cheek, the cartoonishly chic outfits, the beautiful lyrics…Unfortunately things are changing.

What 24 Hours on Tinder Taught Me

I learned things! From an app that is primarily based on split-second judgement on appearances! (If you don’t know what this app is, basically you swipe right if you think someone’s attractive and you’re notified if they swiped right for you, too. Then you can talk.) Aren’t you proud of me?You won’t believe what I learned

Life Advice From My Nail Art

I’ve always loved yin-yang symbols. I think mostly because I find them aesthetically pleasing. I mean, black and white and simple, smooth lines? That’s a dream in terms of aesthetically pleasing to me. I also love the meaning of them. Have you ever heard of the meaning behind yin-yang symbols?075
